Kate Williams named as Chair of Women's Prize for Fiction 2019

We’re thrilled to be able to share that Professor Kate Williams will be chairing the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2019. Williams, who is an historian, author, broadcaster, and Professor of history, will be joined by fellow judges Arifa Akbar, Dolly Alderton, Leyla Hussein and Sarah Wood.

The longlist for the prize will be announced on 4th March next year, and the shortlist will be revealed on 29th April. The £30,000 prize will be awarded on June 5th 2019 at an awards ceremony in central London.
