Golden Globe Awards - Nominations revealed

Nominations for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced and we're delighted that a number of UA clients have been nominated.

Nominated in for Best Motion Picture - Drama is the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, the film stars Lucy Boynton, Tom Hollander, Bruce MacKinnonDermot Murphy and features hair and make-up design by Jan Sewell.

Up for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy is Crazy Rich Asians, starring Jing Lusi, and Yorgos Lanthimos’s The Favourite with Olivia Colman, Luke Thallon, Timothy Innes and stunning hair and make-up design by Nadia Stacey. The Favourite is also nominated for Best Screenplay. 

Isle Of Dogs is nominated for Best Motion Picture - Animated, with cinematography by Tristan Oliver BSC

Rosamund Pike gains her second nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama, for her portrayal of Marie Colvin in A Private War.

Olivia Colman is nominated for ​Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite

Nominations for Best Television Series - Drama include: The Americans, with Matthew RhysBodyguard, starring  Gina McKeeRichard Riddell and David Carlyle, episodes 1-3 directed by Thomas Vincent and featuring production design by James Lapsley, cinematography by John Lee and with the final 3 episodes edited by Andrew John McClelland; and Killing Eve, starring Anatole TaubmanLobo Chan, directed by Harry Bradbeer, with episodes 1 & 2 edited by Gary Dollner, episode 3 written by Vicky Jones and casting by Crowley Poole Casting

Matthew Rhys gains his second Golden Globe nod for his portrayal of Philip Jennings in The Americans

HBO's Barry is up for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and stars Anthony Carrigan.

Nominated for Best Television Limited Series are:The Alienist, with Luke Evans as the crime reporter John Moore alongside Lewin LloydFreddie StewartDaisy Bevan, Joe Bone and Lewis McGowan, with cinematorgraphy by Gavin Struthersmovement/chorepgraphy by Alex Reynolds for the second block and episode 3 edited by Nick Arthurs; and A Very English Scandal, based on the book by John Preston, starring Jason Watkinswith production design by Helen Scott, cinematography by Danny Cohen, costume design by Suzanne Cave, hair & makeup-design by Daniel Phillips and choreography by Francesca Jaynes.

Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg will host the 2019 ceremony on 6th Janiary. Congratulations to all the nominees!
