Three Sisters by Julia Pascal opens the festival 'Taking The Stage - Women in the Performing Arts'
We are thrilled that this brilliant play “Three Sisters” by Julia Pascal will open the exciting festival “Taking The Stage- Women in the Performing Arts” at the MK Gallery in Milton Keynes tonight at 7pm. The festival is being launched by Poppy Corbett (playwright and theatre director) and there will be a keynote speech by actor Carly Halse before the show. There is a second performance on Saturday 14th September at 8pm. The festival was inspired by Julia's Guardian article which highlighted how women are being excluded from the stage. The producer Rosemary Hill has been proactively commissioning new plays by women and there will be five 'Scratch' pieces from emerging female playwrights. Tickets are still available here.
