Amita Suman trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and since graduating has appeared in a number of iconic fantasy series. Most notably playing Umbreen in DOCTOR WHO, Nora in Neil Gaiman’s THE SANDMAN and Naya in CW’s THE OUTPOST.
Amita can most recently be seen in the TV series SHADOW AND BONE where she plays the recurring role of Inej Ghafa.
Suman has upcoming roles in the Paramount + series NCIS: TONY AND ZIVA and Anthony Meindl's MEMENTO MORI.
Amita was nominated for Best Actress at the British Independent Film Festival for her role as Lilah in Christian Kinde’s DAUGHTER.
