Aiko Mila Beemsterboer

Aiko Mila Beemsterboer (2003) is a talented young Dutch actress. At just 18 years old, she earned a Dutch Academy Award nomination for ‘Best Supporting Actress’ in the romantic comedy SO WHAT IS LOVE (WAT IS DAN LIEFDE) (2020).

Aiko played the lead role of Anne Frank in the feature film MY BEST FRIEND ANNE FRANK (MIJN BESTE VRIENDIN ANNE FRANK) (2022). After a theatrical run, the film was released globally on Netflix and reached ‘second most watched film worldwide’ in the first week.

She landed her first lead role in the feature film FIGHT GIRL (VECHTMEISJE) (2018) in which she played Bo, a twelve-year old talented but hot-tempered kick boxer. FIGHT GIRL (VECHTMEISJE)  received multiple awards, among which the ‘Young Audience Award’ at the European Film Awards in 2019, ‘ECFA Award’ at the BUFF International Film Festival and the ‘Audience Award’ and ‘Cinekid Film Award’ at Cinekid. The film was well received by the Dutch press, with many positive notes on Aiko’s powerful performance.

Aiko recently played the leading role in feature film ALL INCLUSIVE (2023). Further feature credits include SHIT HAPPENS (DE LIEFHEBBERS) (2019) and the romantic comedy SO WHAT IS LOVE (WAT IS DAN LIEFDE) (2019) opposite Elise Schaap.

She was a series regular on the hit show OOGAPPELS for multiple seasons. She also appeared in the TV-series HET-A-WOORD (2020) and LIEVE MAMA (2020).

She played her first role in the feature film LEVE BOERENLIEFDE (2013) when she was just 9 years old.

Aiko is capable of delivering a flawless UK and US accent as well as having a good ear for accents in general.
