THE GALLOWS POLE airs Wednesday 31st May

A three part adaptation of Benjamin Myer's novel The Gallows Pole airs on Wednesday 31st May on BBC Two at 9pm. The series, adapted by Shane Meadows, serves as a prequel to Myer's novel and has been described by the BBC as 'Robin Hood meets Peaky Blinders'.

Set in the 1760's, the series follows David Hartley and the Cragg Vale Coiners as they become the biggest fraudsters in British history.

Starring United Agents' Yusra Warsama and Olivia Pentelow, and Cinematography by Danny Cohen BSC.
