Ben Dark

Ben Dark was born in Hampshire in 1985. He studied history at Bristol University and horticulture at Capel Manor College before taking the traditional path from apprentice, to journeyman to head gardener. He now has an MA in Garden and Landscape History from the University of London’s School of Advanced Study and writes on culture, gardens and plants for newspapers and magazines. In 2022 he was named Journalist of the Year by the Garden Media Guild and his first non-fiction book, The Grove, was published.
