Dr Ella Gilbert

Ella has her heart in the ice and her head in the clouds. She is a climate scientist and passionate communicator who attempts to translate complex science into language we can all understand. Her research focuses on how the polar regions will respond to present and future climate change. 

Ella is an award-winning science communicator who has been tipped as one to watch by outlets like Country Life Magazine and the Sunday Times. She has become a go-to expert for print and broadcast media, appearing regularly on local, national and international TV and radio. She also runs a YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/c/DrGilbz) and speaks at live events, schools, festivals, museums and more. Besides this, Ella boxed for 12 years, competing on the national and international stage. She now coaches as an accredited Level 2 England Boxing coach.
