2024 Pat Kavanagh Prize Shortlist Revealed

United Agents have partnered with the Goldsmiths Department of English and Creative Writing, for the fifteenth year running, to recognise the excellence of the students on the Goldsmiths MA in creative and life writing programme. The Pat Kavanagh Prize commemorates literary agent Pat Kavanagh, one of the founding members of United Agents, who sadly passed away in 2008, and awards £500 to the winning student. Each year, the United Agents Books Department narrows a longlist of work by the course's highest performing students down to a select shortlist, before picking one winner judged to have written the strongest overall piece.

This year's shortlistees are:
