London Film Festival 2024

United Agents are proud to have so many of our wonderful clients’ work showcased in some of the most highly anticipated projects at this year’s London Film Festival, which opens today.

Gavi Singh Chera stars in BLITZ, showing at the Opening Night Gala. Other Galas include JOY starring Heather Agyepong, choreographed by Francesca Jaynes, with Tara McDonald as the hair and makeup designer; MARIA written by Steven Knight and with costume design by Massimo Cantini Parrini; WE LIVE IN TIME starring Saira Choudhry and Nikhil Paramar, and edited by Justine Wright; and HARD TRUTHS created and directed by Mike Leigh, edited by Tania Reddin and starring Syrus Lowedown.

THE FRANCHISE edited by Gary Dollner ACE, and Mags Arnold, and DISCLAIMER starring Leila George and Art Malik both take place as Special Events.

This year, client work spans multiple strands. Both LAYLA starring Rebecca Lucy Taylor and Emma McDonald with hair and makeup design by Adele Firth and SEBASTIAN with Guy Thompson as production designer, Maya Maffioli providing additional editing, and starring James Tarpey, centre on journeys. A THOUSAND BLOWS is a thriller by Steven Knight  who has created, written and executive produced. This series is executive produced by David Olusoga, edited by Jo Smyth, and stars Caoilfhionn Dunne, with Milos Moore as a Director of Photography.

Featured in the Shorts section of LFF, we have SYLVIA by director-screenwriter Tárá Ayeni, and THE AWAKENING produced by Charlotte Surtees.

FOUR MOTHERS edited by Gary Dollner, starring Dearbhla Molloy with casting by Louise Kiely, and ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL starring Susan Chardy are part of the Official Competition of the festival. The First Feature Competition includes SEPTEMBER SAYS by director and screenwriter Ariane Labed, ON FALLING starring Fiona Bell and Anna Russel-Martin, and LAST SWIM starring Denzel Baidoo.

More showings include THE LISTENERS costume designed by Arielle Cooper-Lethem; TWIGGY directed by Sadie Frost with Diana Olifirova as the director of photography; and ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO co-directed and produced by Kevin Macdonald.

Additionally, BRING THEM DOWN starring Aaron Heffernan makes its European premier.
