SMUT by Alan Bennett

Alan Bennett's latest book, SMUT, has just been published by Profile and Faber, and is his first work of fiction since bestselling THE UNCOMMON READER.  Composed of two short stories, THE GREENING OF MRS DONALDSON and THE SHIELDING OF MRS FORBES, it offers a glimpse of some of what goes on behind closed (bedroom) doors.

The Guardian notes that it "offers plenty of Bennett's trademark pleasures",  and the Independent calls it "good, old-fashioned British humour with the lightest of subversive twists".
