Chickens starts on Sky1

Chickens is a comedy about three young men who avoid combat in the First World War co-written and co-starring Joe Thomas, Simon Bird and Jonny Sweet. George (Thomas) is a conscientious objector, Cecil (Bird) would love to be fighting for queen and country but his flat feet mean the army won't have him - and then there's Bert (Sweet), a philandering scaredicat on the run.

Emerald Fennell plays the regular role of George's sister Agnes whilst Tim Key and Dan Skinner make appearances in guest roles.

The series directed by Ben Palmer starts at 9.30pm on 22nd August, Sky1
