THE ICEBERG longlisted for 2014 Samuel Johnson Prize
Congratulations to Marion Coutts whose awe-inspiring memoir, THE ICEBERG, has been longlisted for the 2014 Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction. Published earlier this summer to a wave of rave reviews, THE ICEBERG, a seeringly honest account of Marion's husband's death from a brain tumour, has also been longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award.
Now in its 16th year, the Samuel Johnson Prize, worth £20,000, is the UK's leading non-fiction prize. Aiming to reward the best of non-fiction, the prize is open to authors of all non-fiction books in the areas of current affairs, history, politics, science, sport, travel, biography and memoir. The winner will be announced on 4 November at a ceremony in London, after the shortlist is revealed on 9 October.
