Andrew-Lee Potts's PHOTO FINISH Wins Short Film Competition
UA’s Andrew-Lee Potts has won the top prize at Britain’s biggest short film competition with PHOTO FINISH. He was awarded the Grand Prix prize at the reed.co.uk Short Film Awards and was honoured in a ceremony at BAFTA.
Having based Photo Finish on a film that he’d made for his sister’s wedding, Andrew had little expectation of how incredibly well it was to be received. The film was set and shot in a photo booth and stars his sister, Sarah-Jane Potts, and her husband Joseph Millson.
Andrew has been directing short films and music videos since 2006 and is really looking to continue with this in the future, with the greater hope of directing a full-length movie on the back of his short film success.
