Nominations for British Independent Film Awards Announced
As award season approaches, the nominations for The Moët Brisith Independent Film Awards 2015 have been announced.
Leading the way is Yorgos Lanthimos' dark comedy The Lobster with 7 nominations including 'Best Supporting Actress' for UA's Olivia Colman and Best British Independent Film. Angeliki Papoulia, Léa Seydoux also appear in the film, with casting by Louise Kiely.
Also receiving individual nominations are Tom Hardy for 'Best Actor' for his portryal of The Kray Twins in Legend, and for the dark adaptaion of J.G.Ballard's sci-fi novel High Rise, are nominations for Luke Evans for 'Best Supporting Actor' and Sienna Miller for 'Best Supporting Actress'.
Nominated for the 'Raindance Discovery Award' is Burn Burn Burn featuring UA's Laura Carmichael, Jane Asher and Nigel Planer.
The awards will be presented on 6th December at London's Old Billingsgate Market, where Kate Winslet will also receive the Variety Award for Global Acheivement.
