Nira Park is a film and television producer, and the founder of the television production company Big Talk in 1995, and the film production company Complete Fiction pictures alongside Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish and Rachel Prior in 2018. She is a consistent champion of emerging talent, and as a result has been at the helm of some a number of cult classics.
Nira’s work with Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is particularly notable, following the success of their first collaboration - award winning TV show ‘Spaced’ - Nira produced cult-comedy ‘Shaun of the Dead’, for which she received a Carl Foreman Award nomination at BAFTA. The film was the first instalment of Wright’s iconic ‘Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy’, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. ‘Shaun’ was followed by 2007 hit ‘Hot Fuzz’ and 2013's ‘The World’s End’. This has continued with ‘Paul’, ‘Cuban Fury’, and ‘Man Up’, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and won ‘Best Comedy’ at the 2016 National Film Awards. Nira went on to produce Edgar Wright’s ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’, ‘Baby Driver’, ‘The Sparks Brothers’, and most recently ‘Last Night in Soho’ starring Matt Smith and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Outside of this creative partnership, Nira has produced films such as Jeremy Lovering’s critically acclaimed, Sundance premiered ‘In Fear’, and Ben Wheatley’s Cannes-premiered black-comedy Sightseers, and then in 2020, his adaptation of Du Maurier’s Rebecca. She has also worked closely with Joe Cornish, beginning with the SXSW Audience Award-winning and BAFTA Outstanding Debut-nominated feature Attack the block, and most recently, Netflix series Lockwood & Co.
Her work for television includes executive producing three series of the double BAFTA award-winning sitcom Black Books, and Free Agent and executive producing on Friday Night Dinner and the BAFTA award-winning Him and Her.
