Ruta Gedmintas

Ruta plays Serafina Pekkala in His Dark Materials for BBC1/HBO, alongside Ruth Wilson, Lin Manuel Miranda and James McAvoy. The third and final series premiered in December 2022.

She played the leading role of Dutch opposite Corey Stoll and David Bradley in Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain for FX.

She also played the lead role in the film The Incident written and directed by Jane Linfoot – and starred opposite Luke Treadaway in A Street Cat Named Bob, the feature film from Sony.

She played the lead role of Frankie in BBC series Lipservice.

Other TV credits include Ripper Street, Waking the Dead, The Tudors, The Borgias, Spooks Code 9, Stage and The Guilty.

Theatre includes Backbeat (London’s West End. Directed by David Leveaux, and Unfaithful (Found 111).
