Omar Khan is a writer actor based in East London. In 2022 he wrote and starred in an award-winning short film funded by Netflix (Queen of Diamonds).
In October of 2023 he won an International Emmy Award, namely the prestigious Sir Peter Ustinov Screenwriting Award for an unaired drama pilot (Pocket Man).
He was also recently one of the lead writers in a writer’s room for an ITVX Sitcom (Piglets), which released in Summer 2024.
This led him to be commissioned by the National Youth Theatre - where he was already a member as an actor from 2020 - with his debut offering (Blue Kimera) resulting in 2 highly acclaimed sell out shows in August 2024.
In late 2024 he was selected as part of the UK Next Wave Genre Lab - a development initiative by Film Constellation through the BFI Creative Challenge Fund, made possible with National Lottery funding.
