Shirley Hottier

2021 Winner illustrator of the FAB Prize, Shirley is a French self-taught illustrator with a mixed heritage which spans from Madagascar to France. She lived in many different cities as a child and after she graduated in architecture in Paris, she carried on moving around Europe before landing in Edinburgh.  She is passionate about promoting diversity as a way to celebrate her multiple cultures, using bold colours in joyful, fun and energetic scenes. She gets her inspiration in people, buildings, craft, design and in children around her.
