Simon Read

Simon Read is the author of nine works of nonfiction published on both sides of the Atlantic. Two of his books, Human Game: Hunting the Great Escape Murderers and Winston Churchill Reporting: Adventures of a Young War Correspondent, have been optioned for film and television adaptation. He’s currently working on his next book, Scotland Yard: A Vivid and Grisly Biography in 65 Killings.

Born in London in 1974, Simon ended up in the States and lives outside Phoenix, Arizona. He dreams of someday having a place in the English countryside (he loves the Cotswolds and North Yorkshire) and is always looking for reasons to get back to the UK. When he’s not writing, he enjoys messing about on the piano and trying to mix the perfect martini.
