Tim is a writer, director and performer.
He is currently under commission to House Productions and the Unicorn Theatre, and he is developing a project in connection with the RSC.
Recent credits include TRUTH'S A DOG MUST TO KENNEL for the Lyceum, Edinburgh, TOTAL IMMEDIATE COLLECTIVE IMMINENT TERRESTRIAL SALVATION for the National Theatre of Scotland and Royal Court Theatre, and I, CINNA (THE POET), written and directed for the RSC’s World Shakespeare Festival in 2012 and subsequently performed by Tim at the Unicorn Theatre, London in 2020. Tim also recently wrote SUPERGLUE for NT Connections and ARE YOU A ROBOT? for Wonder Fools.
Tim's work has been translated and produced extensively around the world. He still performs his works I, MALVOLIO, AN OAK TREE and TRUTH'S A DOG MUST TO KENNEL.
Tim’s Obie-award winning play, AN OAK TREE, was named by The Guardian as one of the 50 best theatre shows of the 21st Century.
Tim’s screen debut, the TV series DON’T FORGET THE DRIVER, premiered on BBC2 in spring 2019 to critical and audience acclaim. Tim is the creator of the series and co-wrote every episode with Toby Jones, who also stars as the titular driver.
