Dan Abnett is a seven-times New York Times bestselling author and an award-winning comic book writer. He was educated at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and lives and works in Maidstone, Kent, UK.

 

Dan has written over fifty novels, including the acclaimed Gaunt’s Ghosts series, the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies, volumes of the million-selling Horus Heresy series (all Games Workshop), The Silent Stars Go By (the 2011 Christmas Doctor Who novel), Rocket Raccoon and Groot: Steal the Galaxy, The Avengers: Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals, Fiefdom (Rebellion), Triumff: Her Majestys Hero, and Embedded.

 

In comics, he is known for his work on The Legion of Super-Heroes, Resurrection Man, The New Mutants, Nova and the Vertigo series The New Deadwardians.  His 2008 run on The Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel was adapted for a blockbuster movie. A regular contributor to the UK’s long-running 2000AD, he is the creator of series including Grey Area, Kingdom and the classic Sinister Dexter. Dan’s latest comic work includes the creator-owned series Wilds End (Boom!) and Dark Ages (Dark Horse), and the new Guardians 3000 series for Marvel.

 

Dan has also written extensively for the games industry, including Shadow of Mordor, Dreadnought, and Alien:Isolation (WGA award nominee).
