Jess is a British-Irish award-winning director and an award-nominated writer.
Her Audible Original 10x20min series, BOOK LOVERS was released globally. NO MAN'S LAND, her TV comedy drama pitch, was selected for Hot House, the BBC Writersroom and BFI-backed inaugural climate change script development lab.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s Artist Studio, the OneFifty, for innovative and impactful filmmakers funded TO HAVE AND TO HOLD, her directorial debut short film, which had its premiere at BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festival, Cambridge Film Festival. Her other short films ALONE ONCE and BOUNCE, which she wrote and produced, have screened several international film festivals including Underwire, DIFF, Montreal Independent and Cannes Shorts.
Her debut play, GIN FOR BREAKFAST received an Off West End Award nomination for Best New Play. Her follow-up play, NEXT TIME, received outstanding reviews and sold out at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her other plays have been performed at Southwark Playhouse, The Old Red Lion and RADA Studios, and read-through Off-Broadway at MCC Theater. In 2023 Jess' play DADDY ISSUES was longlisted by the RSC 37 Plays.
Jess is a WFTV Mentee, mentored by Alice Birch, and a member of BAFTA Connect.
Previously, Jess was a lawyer, and then Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Warner Bros. She's currently completing a PhD in screenwriting and the themes of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Originally from Manchester, Jess is now based in London.
