Jessica Norman is an award-winning writer for stage and screen She’s an alumnus of the Hampstead Theatre’s 2022/23 INSPIRE Writers Group, Oxford Playhouse Playmakers 23/24 and Soho Theatre Writers Lab.

Her plays include: Wilding (shortlisted for the Papatango Prize and longlisted for the Women's Prize for Playwriting); This Little Earth (shortlisted for the Women's Prize for Playwriting and Originals Playwriting Award); The Healing (written on attachment to the Hampstead Theatre), The Stones and Vitriol (developed with Oxford Playhouse). 

For screen, she is developing a slate of projects including The Appeal with James Norton’s Rabbit Track Pictures and Carlisle House with co-writer Rebecca Crookshank — selected for MIA Market pitching forum, Rome in October 2022. In 2020, her short film Embraceable You, written and filmed during lockdown, won Best Isolation Short at the LA Motion Picture Festival.

Before becoming a writer, Jessica worked as a producer and creative associate in the West End, with development credits including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
