LILTING to open 28th BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival

Writer/director Hong Khaou's feature debut LILTING will have its European premiere on the 20th March as the opening film for this year's BFI London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.

Clare Stewart, Head of Cinemas & Festivals at the BFI commented on the announcement -

Hong Khaou’s warm-hearted film offers just the kind of unexpected delight we look for in a festival. With great performances and an inventive structure, the film has an authentic and unclichéd approach to some of the big questions. Ben Whishaw and Cheng Pei Pei give extraordinary performances and we are thrilled to be launching the festival with such a treasure.

Produced by Dominic Buchanan, through Film Microwave London, and starring Ben Whishaw and Cheng Pei Pei, LILTING also opened the World Dramatic Competition at this year's Sundance Film Festival last month.

Composer Stuart Earl provided the score, with Annette Field as make-up designer and Camille Benda as costume designer.
