TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT opens at the Menier

The stage adaptation of Graham Greene’s TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT opens tonight at the Menier Chocolate Factory, in a production directed by Christopher Luscombe and with sound design by Gregory Clarke.

This anarchic comedy by Graham Greene and adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal, tells the story of retired bank manager Henry Pulling, and his globetrotting adventures with his Aunt Augusta. From Paris to Istanbul to Paraguay, the unlikely pair journey together discovering colourful characters and the possibilities that life conjures up in the most unusual of places.

Christopher Luscombe’s production glows with warmth and wit ...this has proved a real pick-me-up.

This is definitely one of the best evenings you’re ever going to have with four middle-aged men in identical suits and repressive cardigans.  And blow a kiss too to director Christopher Luscombe
