Writers’ Guild Awards shortlist 2020 announced

The Writers' Guild announced the shortlist for their annual awards, and we are delighted to have several clients shortlisted for the coveted award. 

Up for Best Screenplay is Jeff Pope for Stan & Ollie.

Nominations for Best TV Situation Comedy include Danny Brocklehurst for Brassic and Lisa McGee for Derry Girls.

Daniel Ward has been shortlisted for Best Play for Young Audiences for The Canary and the Crow.

Up for Best Online Comedy is Side Effects of the Pill  co-written by Hannah George.

The winners will be announced on Monday 13 January 2020 at the Royal College of Physicians in central London.
