Stephanie is an actress, writer and director, born and raised in Singapore. She read English at Cambridge University before training as an actor on a scholarship at LAMDA.

Her adaptation of The Reluctant Fundamentalist for NYT premiered at The Finborough and the following year transferred to Summerhall where it was shortlisted for Amnesty International’s Freedom of Expression award and the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh award. Her first play, Sisters, re-opened the Sheffield Crucible Studio after the theatre's refurbishment, to critical acclaim. She is currently under commission by Chichester Festival Theatre, Sheffield Theatre and NT Connections.

As an actor, credits include includes critically acclaimed work at the National Theatre (Coriolanus, Our Generation, Behind the Beautiful Forevers and Nightwatchman, which earned her a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Solo Performance), for Out of Joint, the Bush, the Royal Court and Bristol Old Vic. Her recent TV work has included guest lead parts in Joan, Until I Kill You and Breathtaking for ITV.  For acting enquries, please contact Grantham Hazeldine. 

Stephanie was a founder member of Act for Change, campaigning for representative diversity in the industry, is diversity lead on the board of Chichester Festival Theatre and writes a monthly column in The Stage.
