WhatsOnStage reveals 2015 Awards Shortlist

The UK’s leading theatre website has revealed its shortlist for the 15^th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, the only major prize-giving event for the theatre industry determined entirely by the theatre-going public. Voting is open and runs until the 31^st January. One can vote here. The winners will be announced on the 15^th February at the WhatsOnStage Awards Concert held at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London’s West End. A number of UA Clients have been nominated for awards.

Best Actor

Richard Armitage for his performance in THE CRUCIBLE at The Old Vic

Tom Bateman for his performance in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE at the Noel Coward Theatre

Best Actress in a Musical

Jenna Russell for her performance in URINETOWN at the Apollo Theatre

Best New Play

KING CHARLES III (directed by Rupert Goold) at the Almeida Theatre

Best New Musical

MADE IN DAGENHAM (directed by Rupert Goold, Book by Richard Bean, Lyricist Richard Thomas) at the Adelphi Theatre

Best Regional Production

GYPSY (directed by Jonathan Kent) at Chichester Festival Theatre
