Growing up in a small community in the Shetland Islands, Steven couldn’t help feeling like he was missing out on the excitement going on in the rest of the world.
Caryl Phillips was born in St.Kitts and came to Britain at the age of four months. He grew up in Leeds, and studied English Literature at Oxford University.
Nigel Williams
Nigel Williams was born in Cheshire in January 1948 and educated at Highgate School and Oriel College, Oxford.
Nigel Williams’ plays include CLASS ENEMY, TRIAL RUN, LINE ‘EM, SUGAR AND SPICE, COUNTRY DANCING, an adaptation of LORD OF THE FLIES and HARRY & ME.
Makalla McPherson is a writer/director from London. Makalla wrote her debut play WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT for The Oval Theatre in 2018 which was supported by The Arts Council. Makalla was mentored by Coky Giedroyc whilst spending time on the set of BBC Drama, WHAT REMAINS.
